The Geosciences division within RSK Group Ltd, is one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies. RSK now has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join the growing team in Hemel Hempstead. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of development projects. This is a hybrid working role, where you will need to work from the office 2 days per week. Responsibilities: You will be capable of providing environmental advice regarding surface water management, environmental incidents on a wide range of projects. Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated waste permits/exemptions Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/ National Resources Wales Response / management of environmental incidents including, fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges Advice and on site training of clients on issues including ecology, contamination and waste management Production of quotations/tenders for new projects Management of clients and projects Person specification: There is a range of opportunities for individuals with between 2 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector. Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget Full UK driving licence Salary and benefits: Commensurate with experience Contributory Pension Scheme Training by senior team members to enable technical and managerial progression Significant support and encouragement to gain chartered status.
