Role: Indirect Procurement Specialist (R&D)
Location: Welwyn (Hybrid with 2 days in office)
Hours: Monday - Friday
Pay: 150 - 165 per day (PAYE) OR 200 - 225 per day (UMB/LTD)
Contract until end of December 2025 (potential extension) - Outside IR35

The Requirements:
* University degree in business or related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement, including sourcing, contracting, and operational efficiency
* Proficient with procurement systems and processes
* Strong knowledge of indirect procurement and R&D-related commodities
* Ability to manage simple and standard levels of sourcing and contracting complexity
* Skilled in project management
* Business-level fluency in English
* Curious, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
The Role:
In this role as an Indirect Procurement Specialist (R&D), you would be supporting the purchase of products and services that enable scientific research and development activities - for example: equipment, laboratory services, consultancy, software, clinical trial services, scientific consumables - essentially anything needed to help the R&D teams carry out their work.
* Support core procurement activities including category management, sourcing, supplier management, contracting, and content development
* Partner with procurement teams and business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs
* Conduct market and internal analyses to inform sourcing decisions
* Develop and implement automation and content enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience
* Contribute to ongoing procurement projects, improving customer experience and delivering value
* Leverage expertise to manage operational procurement tasks and drive strategic initiatives within R&D categories
