Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Somerset/Bristol. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN/SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Somerset/Bristol. At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN/SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to enhance their engagement and educational outlook.

SEN/SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
1. Planning each session of teaching/tutoring/mentoring
2. Delivering holistic, engaging sessions tailored to individual needs to support their educational and social-emotional journey
3. Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
4. Engaging as a Worker for short-term engagements as needed
5. Working through a contract for service and paid via PAYE
6. Note that we do not offer a set amount of work or expenses coverage
7. Our insurance covers your work
8. This is not a self-employed position

Minimum requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK
Having experience as a SENCo, SLD/MLD Teacher, Autism/ADHD Support Teacher, Intervention Specialist, or Ex-Teacher is highly relevant. Other roles like Learning Support Assistant, Educational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist, or Inclusion Coordinator are also valuable.
