Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food preparation and handling.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
* Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures as required.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
