Cambridgeshire Constabulary – Police Staff. Permanent, Full Time. Based at Headquarters, Huntingdon, Cambs. Scale 5/6. Salary £30,333. 37 hours per week.

We are now hiring a full time (37 hours) Personal Assistant to provide a comprehensive proactive, personal secretarial and administrative service to the Senior Leadership Team in support of their Policing portfolios, which include local and regional policing commitments.

What does the Personal Assistant role involve?
Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive diary management, making appointments, arranging meetings and assessing/prioritising competing demands for Managers
* Working without supervision and pro-actively managing issues/problems in their absence
* Liaison with other Force senior managers and representatives from outside organisations to ensure that briefing notes and other documentation is available to the Senior Leadership Team as required, effectively anticipating requirements
* Meeting management: room bookings, preparation of papers/agenda, minute/action taking using Microsoft Teams
* Managing communications on behalf of Managers including email, assessing and prioritising competing demands; respond, delegate, distribute, prioritise and flag up; anticipate potential problems and proactively seek methods of resolution
* Plan and co-ordinate travel arrangements as required
Are you the right person for the Personal Assistant position?
It is important to us that we hire someone with the right values and attitude that align with ours. We are looking for:
* At least 3 years’ experience (or equivalent) in a secretarial post
* GCSE or equivalent (minimum Grade C) in English Language
* Secretarial qualification(s) in typing or word processing such as RSA III
* Clear, accurate and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft correspondence
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to take a solution-focused approach to any query or task
* A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, duties and required training
