Overview
Programme Engineering Managers – London, EC2R 7BP, UK. Location: London or Bristol, with travel to Sizewell C site in Suffolk. Employment basis: Permanent; full-time. Working pattern: Office-based with hybrid flexibility where possible. You’ll need to be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when required, typically 3 days per week, subject to team or project needs. Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience plus bonus and other benefits. Closing date: Wednesday 17 September 2025.
The Sizewell C project is the UK’s next nuclear power build, following the success of Hinkley Point C. The project has obtained planning permission and is in construction with Financial Investment Decision (FID) secured, guaranteeing funding for the project’s full lifespan. When completed, it will provide electricity to about 6 million homes for 60 years and support the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 goals. This role sits within the Sizewell C Technical Directorate (TD) and covers the Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island/BOP (CI/BOP) delivery programmes.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a Programme Engineering Manager within the Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island/BOP (CI/BOP) delivery streams.
* Act as the key link between the Sizewell C Technical Directorate and delivery programmes to ensure seamless integration of technical expertise with programme objectives.
* Drive milestones, support design excellence, and collaborate with specialists across the Technical Directorate to enable innovative solutions.
* Ensure alignment between technical strategies and programme delivery; support successful project execution in a high-safety, high-regulation environment.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
* Proven experience in engineering and programme management within large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Exceptional collaboration skills with ability to interface across teams; strong leadership and adaptability in complex environments.
* Proven ability to build and lead diverse teams and to manage design processes, EPR systems, and NEC/FIDIC contracts.
* Experience in complex, high-safety regulatory environments; familiarity with engineering systems, documentation, and nuclear specifications (e.g., BTR, BTS).
* French language skills would be advantageous.
