Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, test, and pack mechanical components and finished goods, ensuring they meet our high standards.
* Work independently from drawings or build instructions to create exceptional products.
* Oversee the assembly area, ensuring a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
* Provide training and guidance to junior assembly technicians, sharing your expertise and best practices.
* Conduct thorough inspections of parts and identify defects during the manufacturing process.
* Collaborate with the team to identify potential areas for process improvement and communicate these opportunities effectively.
* Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring that sub-assemblies and finished products comply with specifications.
What You Bring
* A minimum of three year's experience as a mechanical assembly technician, ideally with supervisory experience.
* A basic education including GCSE level C or above in Maths and English Language; a recognised apprenticeship or relevant BTEC is preferred.
* Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to repair basic parts as necessary.
* The capability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, test plans, and process documents.
* A keen eye for detail, with the ability to maintain production timelines and report discrepancies as needed.
