This is a key leadership role where you'll guide the drawing office team, drive technical excellence, and play a central part in delivering successful steelwork projects from design through to site.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of steelwork detailers (internal & external)
* Oversee all drawing office activities from initial design to issued-for-construction
* Review and approve fabrication, GA, assembly, and erection drawings
* Ensure drawings meet industry standards (including NSSS) and internal QC processes
* Allocate workloads and manage project deadlines effectively
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, production, and site teams
* Resolve technical queries and design challenges throughout each project
* Attend project meetings and occasional site visits
* Oversee Tekla Structures usage and maintain document management systems

Requirements:
* HNC or higher in Structural/Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
* Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK structural steelwork sector
* Strong proficiency with Tekla Structures
* Solid knowledge of NSSS and general steelwork standards
* Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and drive team performance
