Capula is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation & Control Systems Cyber Security Engineer to join our Operational Technology team. Youâll work on live and upcoming projects across critical infrastructure sectors including energy, water, renewables, and manufacturingâdesigning secure OT networks and leading advanced threat mitigation strategies.
What Youâll Do
* Design and secure OT networks across regulated industries
* Lead threat modelling, penetration testing, and red teaming in IC environments
* Engineer security solutions aligned with NIST, ISO, IEC, and NIS-R standards
* Conduct vulnerability assessments and forensic investigations in OT/ICS environments
* Mentor junior engineers and support business development
* 5+ years in cybersecurity, including 2+ years in IC/SCADA environments (PLCs, RTUs, HMI systems)
* Strong understanding of IC protocols: MODBUS, OPC, DNP3
* Experience securing cross-domain IT/OT interfaces and real-time systems
* Proven ability to design secure networks: switching, routing, firewalls
* Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for IC, Bow-Tie Analysis, and adversary simulation
* Handsâon experience with tools like Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, fuzzing tools
* Knowledge of compliance frameworks: NIST 800â53/800â82, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, HSE OGâ86, NISâR
* Experience with DFIR operations in industrial environments (e.g., VxWorks, Embedded Linux, WinCC, PCS 7)
* Strong stakeholder management and ability to build effective relationships across technical and nonâtechnical teams
* Eligible for SC clearance
