Are you an experienced electrical design professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a Design Manager to lead and develop a multi-skilled team, ensuring the successful delivery of detailed designs across all workstream areas.
What You’ll Do:
* Manage and mentor a growing team of design engineers and technicians
* Enhance and implement robust design procedures to reduce risk and liability
* Strengthen design capabilities through training, competence, and resource management
* Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and guidance documents
* Oversee external design frameworks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
* Support operational teams with expert design solutions
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience: Strong knowledge of 11kV to 132kV (E)HV networks & substations, including switchgear, transformers, underground circuits, earthing, and protection
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of electricity distribution and private network interactions
* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
