Overview

This is a busy multi-disciplinary CAMHS team which includes nurses, psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists. You will have the benefit of being co-located with partner services for children and families. A key focus of the service leadership team will be implementing transformation that ensures timely access to high quality care. Our vision is for our local community to be well equipped to support the young people of Tameside and Glossop to grow up with good emotional health and wellbeing. We work closely with our partners in education, children's services and the 3^rd sector to achieve the recently developed ambitious Local Transformation Plan for CAMHS services. This plan provides us with the guide and resources to begin delivering our vision of having CAMHS workers available in new ways, and working closely with children's universal and targeted services in each of our locality areas. We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester - Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop. Responsibilities

The hiring manager will make contact with you to verbally offer you the position. The hiring manager will then inform Recruitment of the decision and provide relevant paperwork. You will be sent a formal conditional offer via email.

The role will be within Tameside and Glossop CAMHS CORE team assessing and formulating treatment plans for young people. Offering CBT for those young people who require it. The successful candidate will need the ability to work autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach and undertake specific work with young people and their families. Excellent assessment skills and the ability to formulate clinical decisions and management plans are essential, including assessment and management of risk. You will strive to achieve the best for every young person, show commitment to delivering evidence based practice and have the capability of making clinical decisions around complex and emotive issues, supported by knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding in relation to the client group. You will monitor and evaluate treatment offered to service users adhering to professional and Trust guidelines and using routine outcome measures related to service development and reporting. You must be an excellent communicator, be flexible, self motivated and have a willingness to build links with colleagues across team and agencies.


Qualifications

• The role requires the ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team and undertake assessment and formulation of treatment plans. • Experience in CBT delivery for appropriate cases. • Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation. • Commitment to evidence-based practice and use of routine outcome measures.


Pre-employment checks and recruitment process

What pre-employment checks will I need to complete? By conducting pre-employment checks, the recruitment team will verify that you meet the pre-conditions of the role you have been offered. Pre-employment checks will be carried out according to NHS Employment Check Standards. The checks are:

* Identity verification
* Right to work check
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)/Criminal record check (dependent on role)
* Professional registration and/or qualification check
* Occupational health assessment
* Employment history and reference validation

All applicants external to the NHS will be required to provide their HMRC employment history to cover the most recent three years of employment. This information will be used to validate employment history and references as part of pre-employment checks.

If you are offered a position with us and you require sponsorship to support your right to work, we will review your eligibility in line with government guidance. If the role you have been offered is not eligible for sponsorship, and you are not able to evidence your own right to work, your conditional offer could be withdrawn.


What happens when pre-employment checks are complete?

Recruitment will liaise with you and the hiring manager to arrange a start date for your new position. You will then be booked on to a Trust Welcome Session and be sent your Pennine Care NHS Terms and Conditions.
