We’re seeking an innovative, strategic, and hands-on Head of Digital Infrastructure to drive our digital future and safeguard our vital services.
Key duties
* Set strategic direction for digital infrastructure, maximising value from technology investments and contracts.
* Lead the transition to a cloud-first approach, managing the migration from on-premises to cloud hosting.
* Oversee cyber security, risk management, and compliance, including ISO and NHS Digital standards.
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from local teams to national forums.
* Manage budgets, contracts, and assets with a focus on efficiency and accountability.
* Inspire and develop a high-performing team, driving service excellence and innovation.
* Represent the Trust in key forums and lead on digital transformation initiatives.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Person specification
Experience
* Minimum 5 years in a Senior ICT management position managing a team
* Experience in budget management and business case development
* Experience implementing a cloud-first strategy for data centre operations, including migration to cloud platforms
Qualifications
* Masters Degree or equivalent senior-level experience
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* MSc in relevant discipline, MBA, ITIL, PRINCE2, Chartered IT Professional, Chartered Engineer
Knowledge
* Extensive knowledge of ICT procurement, contract management, business case development, business continuity, budget management, datacentre operations, data storage, server and network
* Extensive knowledge of standards (TOGAF, ITIL, PRINCE2, ISO27001, ISO14001, ISO9001)
* Understanding of ISO14001, ISO9001, formal training in negotiation, risk management, systems analysis
