Job Summary The position supports the laboratory management activities, ensuring consumables are properly stocked, equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately, as well as laboratory policies and processes followed. Key Duties Preparation of materials/reagents to support lab users (e.g. communal buffers) Participation in routine lab equipment monitoring and maintenance procedures, such as temperature checks, fridge/freezer defrosting activities, dishwasher, and autoclave operation, tracking of equipment maintenance requirements. Support the management of lab consumables life cycle from ordering to disposal – inventory checks, reordering triggers, ETA updates, appropriate goods reception & storage, and appropriate goods/equipment disposal/recycling. Ensuring QMS compliance of the laboratory-related processes Qualifications A BSc or equivalent experience in a Life Science or related discipline Experience in an active research laboratory or equivalent industrial experience Experience in basic laboratory techniques such as buffer and solution preparation or pipetting Ability to understand molarity and calculate chemical concentrations. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, cooperative and reliable The ability to work accurately and with attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with other scientific staff. Good organizational and time management skills Computer proficiency
