The successful candidate will be able to excel at both the strategic & functional elements of this key role. You will be responsible for some key Purchasing commodities, helping to create & implement the overall strategy. Specific Responsibilities To play a lead role in the formulation & implementation of the strategy for the commodities under their control To continually seek improvements in purchasing procedures and methods employed in line with the company's strategic growth plans. To be responsible for supplier interface including contracting, auditing and analysis, selection/de-selection and development. To negotiate the keenest prices at the best quality in all dealings with suppliers. To liaise with suppliers on a daily basis and develop strong supplier partnerships.
