Overview
Positions: Security Supervisor up to 56hr contracts are available (must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays when necessary). Hourly rate: £16.28 per hour. Breaks are paid, officers to remain on site. This position will be contracted to work into weekdays, nights and weekends including bank holidays, with a shift pattern of 7-3, 7-4, days and nights (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am) Monday to Sunday. Responsibilities
* Conduct daily briefings each morning to relevant area/contract managers, keeping informed of any overnight occurrences and action taken by on‑duty controllers. Ensure that all positions are covered or any issues reported to the Group Managers.
* Answer all queries via telephone from officers and members of the TfL Management Team in a polite and professional manner, ensuring calls and messages are passed on as necessary.
* Supervise and manage the control room in the absence of the controller/supervisor.
* Monitor & manage the Building Safety and Security systems, Fire, Access System, CCTV, Lifts and other systems based in the control room.
* Respond to and process information relating to Assignment Incidents, ensuring reports are placed on the system and management team is made aware.
* Ensure that all audit trails are maintained and documentation is filed and stored correctly.
* Ensure that Health and Safety check calls are monitored, and when appropriate escalate missed check call procedures for the wellbeing of officers on site.
* Record all incidents received from client sites and enter details into the daily occurrence book, passing all information to the Cluster Manager.
* Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with TfL and company procedures and practices, in particular proper completion of necessary reporting and recording systems, and control.
* Fully complete the daily occurrence log, and ensure it is read and signed at the start and end of each shift. Complete any items not closed.
* Ensure that company accident records are completed, and that the Control Manager is informed of any lost time accidents.
* Respond to any other reasonable request made by the management team adhering to the company policies.
* Ensure CCTV systems are professionally, effectively and sensitively monitored in compliance with data protection legislation and TfL operating standards.
* View CCTV footage of incidents, collate related information, monitor results and liaise with the Police and Building and Security Management Teams in line with the DPA.
* Ensure all CCTV and other systems (Fire/Access and M/E) are fully operational and being monitored closely. Report faults to the BM team, line manager and Helpdesk as appropriate.
* Conduct and monitor Safety Equipment Inspections, reporting all deficiencies to Building Management and Customer Help Desk Facilities.
* Ensure that appropriate training records are provided and completed by Security Officers and forwarded to the line manager within 24 hours of training/testing taking place.
* Monitor and record security officer requirements for replacement uniforms and personal protective equipment as necessary.
* Manage the team to deal with any suspicious packages, maintaining safety and handling in accordance with TfL procedures.
* Ensure rosters are kept up to date and live. Seek immediate cover for any sickness/leave or non-attendance, while informing the line manager and Broadway scheduling team.
* Carry out checks of staff SIA License, Company ID, that staff are in full uniform (including correct footwear) and address non-compliance with company policy. Checks to take place at the start of each shift.
* Ensure no leave is placed on the system until fully covered by the line manager.
* Ensure a clear handover is completed and the brief entered in the DOB when taking over control room duties (Scheduler or Acting Supervisor or Control Room/Supervisor).
