Job Description
At LT Selection, we believe that the organisations delivering the strongest learner outcomes are the ones that invest heavily in quality, standards, and people.
We are proud to be supporting a genuinely people‑first training provider that believes staff should feel listened to, supported, and empowered to achieve their aspirations. This is an organisation that values culture just as highly as compliance and understands that strong quality leadership creates confidence across the entire learner journey.
This opportunity would suit a quality professional who enjoys building robust systems, ensuring compliance, supporting inspection readiness, and protecting standards across funded provision.
The Opportunity
This is a senior quality and compliance leadership role focused on ensuring that teaching, learning, assessment, and learner experience consistently meet internal, regulatory, and inspection standards.
The successful candidate will take ownership of quality assurance systems, compliance frameworks, IQA oversight, audit readiness, and external quality relationships across apprenticeship and adult learning provision.
This is not a curriculum design role.
This is not a programme development role.
This role is about ensuring quality, consistency, compliance, and organisational confidence at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership of Quality
* Lead organisation‑wide quality assurance and compliance strategy
* Ensure ongoing Ofsted and inspection readiness
* Act as the organisation’s senior authority on standards and quality
* Support audit preparation and external scrutiny processes
Quality Assurance & Compliance
* Design and maintain quality assurance frameworks and systems
* Lead learning walks, observations, reviews, and quality cycles
* Ensure compliance with ESFA, DfE, Ofsted, and awarding body requirements
* Monitor subcontractor and partner provision quality
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
* Oversee sampling strategies and standardisation activity
* Ensure assessment decisions are consistent and compliant
* Monitor gateway and EPA readiness
* Maintain consistency across assessors and delivery staff
* Analyse learner performance, achievement, retention, and progression data
* Identify quality risks early and implement corrective action
* Present quality insight and reports to senior leadership and governance
Self‑Assessment & Improvement Planning
* Lead SAR and QIP processes
* Ensure improvement actions are tracked and evidenced
* Maintain consistency across curriculum areas and delivery teams
Awarding Bodies & External Stakeholders
* Manage EQA and awarding body relationships
* Coordinate external quality assurance visits
* Ensure actions from audits and reviews are completed effectively
* Ensure quality systems support safeguarding, Prevent, and inclusive practice
* Maintain oversight of the learner journey from enrolment to progression
What We’re Looking For
* Strong quality assurance and compliance experience within post‑16 education
* Apprenticeship and adult skills sector experience
* Strong understanding of Ofsted and ESFA requirements
* Experience supporting audit and inspection readiness
* Strong data analysis and risk management capability
* Experience working with awarding bodies and EQAs
* Experience across multiple provision types
* Exposure to employer‑led or commercial training provision
What Success Looks Like
* Always audit‑ and inspection‑ready
* Robust and embedded quality assurance systems
* Risks identified early and addressed effectively
* Confidence across delivery teams and stakeholders
* Strong reputation for quality and compliance
Why This Role Matters
Strong quality leadership protects learners, supports staff confidence, safeguards funding, and enables sustainable growth.
When quality functions are overlooked in funded provision, the consequences are rarely immediate — but over time, inconsistency grows, learner experience suffers, compliance risks increase, and organisations lose confidence in their own systems.
This role sits at the centre of preventing that.
Safeguarding Statement
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must have the right to work in the UK.
