Manufacturing Engineer

Raytheon UK have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer to join our Manufacturing team in Glenrothes specialising in the Engineering side of Manufacturing supporting projects in the Aerospace & Defence industry.

This role has a variety of tasks:
1. Work on product performance and process
2. Reporting and analysis tasks
3. Tech support for customers
4. Support innovation for engineering tasks
5. Perform root cause and corrective action as required
6. Support Manufacturing cells and engineering tasks as required
7. Design for Manufacturability (DFM), NPI and Manufacturing Process tasks
8. KPIs/metrics/data as required
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the follow skils/experience:
9. Minimum HND or degree in a related subject e.g. STEM, Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
10. Knowledge/experience of electronics Manufacturing
11. Process improvement/efficiency/lean manufacturing
12. Can lead / participate in process FMEA, Control Plan, Process flow development, review and risk mitigation processes
13. Experience of various Manufacturing platforms
14. Technical presentation skills
15. Ideally have worked for an Engineering, Manufacturing or Defence company
16. Communication to all levels of the organisation
17. Can work as a team player, independently and challenge status quo as required
For this role the successful hire will need to be a permanent UK resident and successfully complete a baseline (BPSS) security and background check.
