Community Connector
Location: Hertford
Salary: £25,541 - £27,200 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 5 per week (Saturday) – 3 hours on site at the Potters Bar Food Bank, 2 hours remote
Contract: Fixed term until February 2027
Are you passionate about helping people overcome hardship and rebuild connections within their community? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Connector to play a vital role at the Trussell Trust Potters Bar Food Bank. In this rewarding position, you will work closely with a range of partner agencies to support individuals facing poverty and social isolation, helping them access essential services, address financial challenges, and reconnect with their local community in a meaningful and sustainable way.
What will a day in the life of a Community Connector involve?
* Meeting with individuals to understand their needs and offer tailored support.
* Linking people with local services, activities, and community groups.
* Working alongside volunteers to provide encouragement and practical help.
* Building relationships with partner agencies to develop sustainable community networks.
To be a successful Community Connector, what will you need?
* Excellent communication skills and a warm, empathetic approach.
* Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of the local area and how communities operate.
* A genuine passion for helping people build connections.
This role requires you to be in person at the Potters Bar Food Bank for three hours every Saturday, with the remaining two hours completed remotely.
