The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Associate Director of Nursing to join our team in South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership (UHSCP). The post holder will be the professional lead for nursing, ensuring standards of clinical practice, care assurance, and patient-centred care. This includes ensuring safe staffing levels and maximizing the impact of nursing on service change and quality improvement.
The post holder will act as a deputy to the Associate Director of Nursing and will work closely with the Locality Manager/General Manager and the Associate Medical Director and their deputies to provide visible leadership across the UHSCP. The postholder will have line management responsibility for the Senior Nursing team in South Lanarkshire UHSCP.
The post holder will contribute to clinical, financial, and staff governance arrangements, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective care in line with professional and national clinical standards. The portfolio is diverse, covering aspects of nursing care including, but not limited to, Health Visiting, School Nursing, Brain Injuries, and Vaccination. This includes nursing care within the UHSCP and across Lanarkshire.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
* Knowledge of NHS Scotland’s Leadership Qualities framework or an equivalent.
* Management experience gained through practice and continuous professional development.
* Leadership and managerial experience within a specialty or area of practice, demonstrating the ability to lead safely and effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards.
* Experience with Quality Improvement methodologies.
* Resource management experience, including financial, human, and capital resources.
* Skills in needs assessment and data analysis/interpretation.
* Proven leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work as part of a team.
* Experience in developing innovative solutions and motivating staff to effect change.
* Experience in developing teams/services and solving complex problems.
* Basic IT skills.
Please note, a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required for roles where driving is necessary.

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours
Location and Working Pattern
This role is based at South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton, with travel across Lanarkshire required. The working pattern is to be confirmed.
