SEND Tutor – Alternative Provision South Shields Full Time £25 - £46 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) Starts 2nd March The School and Role Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting young people who are currently out of education? Do you want to make a real difference by helping learners re-engage with Maths and English? Are you looking for a rewarding role working with small groups and personalised learning? Vision for Education are working with a specialist provision in South Shields to recruit a SEND Tutor. This full-time role involves working with a small cohort of six learners who are currently out of mainstream education, supporting them to achieve Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications in Maths and English. The learners have a range of additional needs and barriers to learning. The focus of the role is to build confidence, re-engage pupils with education, and provide tailored, structured teaching to help them achieve recognised qualifications and positive next steps. You will deliver personalised lessons, adapt resources to meet individual needs, and create a calm, supportive learning environment where pupils feel motivated and able to succeed.
