We are seeking a part-time HR Advisor to join our small team and support our continued growth as an organisation. Working closely with the HR team, you will forge strong relationships with the Headteachers within each of our schools and their senior leadership teams. This role offers a term‑time, part‑time position that enables a good work/life balance and allows you to make a real impact on our schools and the young people we serve.
We Offer
Staff are our most valued asset. We continuously introduce initiatives that support them professionally and personally: a new Health and Wellbeing Cash plan for staff and their dependents; a generous discretionary leave scheme; and changes to the performance review process to focus on continued professional development. The HR Advisor role also offers flexibility – you can choose to work 4.5 hours across five days or 5.75 hours across five days over the 39 term‑time weeks each year (plus two weeks confirmed with your line manager).
Our Commitment To You
You will be part of a small, dynamic HR team that works hard while also creating a supportive environment. We will provide induction and ongoing training to set you up for success. We uphold a culture that promotes kindness, collaboration, recognition, and an inclusive, safe workspace where everyone feels heard and empowered.

Safer Recruitment
The Girls’ Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. In order to meet this responsibility, we follow a rigorous selection process to discourage and screen out unsuitable applicants. As part of that process, we verify identity and require an enhanced DBS disclosure. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, we may conduct an online search of shortlisted candidates to identify any matters that might relate to our safeguarding duties. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified people and aim to employ a culturally diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
