About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced CCDO Demolition Supervisor for an ongoing contract with an established groundworks / earthworks contractor delivering demolition packages across the Northern Home Counties.
This is a long-term opportunity for a practical, site-led supervisor who can take control of demolition activity across multiple live projects, keep teams working safely, and ensure works stay aligned with programme. Project values run up to £2m, so this role would suit someone confident supervising operatives on active sites, handling RAMS and paperwork, and acting as the link between site delivery teams and management.
Key responsibilities
* Supervise demolition gangs across multiple sites
* Oversee safe delivery of demolition packages on live projects
* Prepare, review and implement RAMS
* Deliver toolbox talks and daily site briefings
* Monitor health and safety compliance at all times
* Complete site paperwork, daily records and progress updates
* Liaise with clients, site teams and internal management
* Coordinate demolition activity to support programme delivery
* Ensure works are carried out in line with method statements and required standards
* Report site issues, progress and risks clearly and promptly
Requirements
* Valid CCDO card
* Valid CSCS card
* SMSTS or SSSTS
* Previous experience supervising demolition works on site
* Strong health and safety awareness within demolition environments
* Ability to manage operatives and subcontract labour effectively
* Confident producing and working to RAMS
* Good communication, coordination and site reporting skills
Desirable / nice-to-have background
* Experience working across multi-site demolition programmes
* Background with groundworks, earthworks, enabling works, civils or specialist demolition contractors
* Comfortable working on live sites where demolition interfaces with broader construction activity
* Experience supervising small to mid-sized demolition packages rather than only large flagship projects
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region
