A motivated auto electrician / electrical repair technician is required for our award-winning Sunday Times Fast Track 100 engineering client. The role offers an attractive salary band of £35k – £40k+ depending on experience, plus a generous bonus, holiday, healthcare and pension scheme in a reputable company based near Aylesbury, commutable from Oxford.
Key Skills & Experience
* Good electrical engineering experience with 12 v / 24 v DC automotive or plant systems, interpreting hydraulic diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical diagrams
* Engineering qualification – Level 2 or Level 3 engineering, preferably higher
* Experience in electrical fault finding, installation of safety systems, diagnostics, testing, calibration, repair and refurbishment
* Service, installation or maintenance experience in plant machinery, automotive plant, vehicle plant, hire plant or similar engineering industries; systems installation on large vehicles, heavy plant machinery, petrol, diesel engines or generators is ideal
* Ex‑armed forces engineers, REME technicians or similar with safety systems installation, service and maintenance experience of plant, trucks, tanks and heavy machinery is preferred
The electrical repair engineer will be responsible for the daily installation, calibration, repair and refurbishment of market‑leading plant equipment on site and the installation of safety and controls systems to the control panels. You will also manage the routine preparation of award-winning vehicles for sale to customers and fleet exhibitions, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance with health and safety standards.
