Are you an organised Accounts Assistant who loves working with numbers and keeping things running smoothly? We’re working with a well-known, family-run business in Southampton. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers a nice mix of finance and admin work, perfect for someone with some accounting experience who likes a busy, hands-on role and a friendly team around them.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
* Processing invoices and credit notes
* Completing supplier statement reconciliations
* Supporting the preparation and monitoring of P&L reports
* Assisting with general accounting and administrative tasks
* Providing customer support and liaising with internal departments
* Supporting wider finance team projects as needed
What you will need:
* Experience within one of the following roles – Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Finance Administrator
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Confident Excel ability (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables would be a bonus)
* Knowledge of Sage 200 is beneficial but not essential
* AAT study or experience would be advantageous
