Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: York, UK
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Overview:
* Proactive and analytical Process Engineer focused on improving efficiency, quality, and consistency across manufacturing operations. Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and reduce waste.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve performance and efficiency
* Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to reduce waste and increase productivity
* Monitor process performance using data and KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure processes are robust and scalable
* Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support to production teams
* Ensure processes comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
* Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in a Process Engineer or similar role
* Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
* Ability to analyse data and solve complex technical problems
* Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
* Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
