A long-established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong Injection Moulding knowledge to join their dedicated engineering team.
This is a niche role suited to engineers who enjoy hands-on work, problem solving and taking ownership of machine performance across a busy production department.

The Role
You will play a key part in maintaining and improving the machinery that keeps production moving. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintenance & Repairs
* Routine, proactive and reactive maintenance on Injection Moulding machines
* Maintaining ancillary equipment, including conveyors and regrind systems
* Troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues quickly and effectively
Process Improvement & Reliability
* Developing and managing a Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
* Monitoring equipment performance
* Working with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to drive improvements
Parts, Records & Coordination
* Managing engineering materials and spare parts inventory
* Ensuring essential spares are kept on site to reduce downtime
* Updating maintenance logs, shift notes and parts usage
* Supporting contractors on site and ensuring safe working practices
General Site Support
* Assisting with wider site maintenance when required
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings a strong mix of technical skill, practical ability and the right attitude:
Essential
* Proven Maintenance Engineering experience
* Injection Moulding experience
* Apprenticeship served or equivalent on-the-job engineering experience
* Strong problem-solving capability
* Good literacy and communication skills
* Excellent timekeeping and a proactive, can-do mindset
* Strong commitment to safe working and good general safety awareness
Desirable
* Hydraulic or pneumatic systems experience
* Confidence working across a range of machinery in a busy environment
This role suits someone hands-on, adaptable and comfortable managing varied daily tasks to keep production running smoothly.
