Join to apply for the 226574 Highly Specialist Mental Health Dietitian (Development Opportunity Band 6 to 7) role at NHS Scotland. NHS Dumfries and Galloway is offering an opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Mental Health multidisciplinary team (MDT) as a Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian. This post is also open to experienced Band 6 dietitians seeking development into Band 7, with tailored support and supervision to grow into a specialist leadership role.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert dietetic input to adults with eating disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, contributing to holistic care planning and recovery.
* Collaborate within a Specialist Eating Disorders Service MDT including psychiatry, psychology and nursing, with a focus on person-centred care.
* Lead and develop service delivery within a supportive, collaborative team environment; contribute to leadership development and quality improvement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC registered dietitian with experience or strong interest in mental health and eating disorders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Hold a full clean driving licence or have the ability to independently travel between sites and within the community. Pool cars are available.

Development Pathway
If appointed at Band 6, you’ll be supported through a structured development plan to progress to Band 7, including clinical supervision, training opportunities and mentorship from experienced colleagues.
