Looking for a teaching role with a difference? Based at Heathrow Terminal 5, this position combines classroom teaching with hands-on workplace support. You’ll be working with young people on a Supported Internship programme. They already have placements within the airport, and your role will be to deliver Functional Skills in maths, English and employability, while also coaching and supporting them in their job roles. What you’ll be doing: Delivering engaging Functional Skills sessions in maths, English and employability Supporting young people while they are working in Heathrow Terminal 5, helping them understand tasks, develop confidence and gain independence Working with airport managers and staff to ensure the right support and reasonable adjustments are in place Tracking learner progress and keeping families and the programme team updatedAbout You You will need either: • A teaching qualification at Level 5 or above OR • A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) with experience delivering Functional Skills (maths and English) Experience of working with young people in education, training or employability settings is desirable Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about helping young people succeed in both the classroom and the workplaceWhy this role is different This isn’t just a classroom role.
