A respected and growing construction consultancy based in central Birmingham is looking for a client-focused and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major residential and education projects across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex schemes, manage key client relationships and progress towards Associate level within a supportive and expanding consultancy.
The Senior Project Manager will join a team with a strong presence across student accommodation, build-to-rent, schools and university campus projects. With projects ranging in value from £10 million to over £100 million, the consultancy delivers both new build and refurbishment schemes across the full project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys leading from the front and delivering projects with a hands-on, client-led approach.

The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for managing multiple high-value projects across the residential and education sectors. You will lead project teams through feasibility, planning, procurement, contract administration and delivery, acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors.
Your duties will include preparing project documentation, overseeing design coordination, chairing meetings, managing risk and programme, and ensuring project outcomes align with client expectations. You will also be involved in mentoring junior team members and supporting business development activity.
The Senior Project Manager
Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline such as Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying
At least six years of experience in a consultancy project management environment
Proven background delivering residential, student accommodation or education sector schemes
Strong contract knowledge, particularly JCT Design and Build
Excellent leadership, communication and client engagement skills
Chartered or working towards MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB
