Leaving Care Personal Advisor (New Arrivals Team) Monday – Friday, 9am–4pm About the Role We are seeking a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our New Arrivals Team. You will provide a statutory service to unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people (16–25) who have been or are looked after by Manchester City Council. You will hold a caseload of up to 30 young people, supporting social workers to progress post-18 plans and preparing young people for adulthood. Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will build positive relationships, assess individual needs, and deliver effective plans to help young people achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide advice, guidance, and support to young people (16–25) leaving care. Work with colleagues and stakeholders to reduce risk and improve outcomes. Monitor, review, and adjust support plans to meet individual needs. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with statutory duties. Contribute to our journey from Good to Outstanding in practice and service delivery. About You You will bring: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners. Good organisational, problem-solving, and administrative skills. IT proficiency across multiple systems. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable: 2 years’ experience working with young people. Why Join Us?
