Position Summary
Whitehall District Schools is looking for a PBIS Coach who will be a critical driver in the implementation and sustainability of Classroom PBIS systems. This role will enhance the proactive and preventative Tier 1 classroom management practices through an adult-centered approach to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). This role is dedicated to providing schools with the guidance, training, and continuous support necessary for the successful integration of Tier 1 PBIS practices into classroom management. The coach will work closely with school staff to foster positive, inclusive learning environments that embed social-emotional learning and structured support systems. The ultimate goal is to increase the adoption and implementation fidelity of PBIS in the classroom, reduce disciplinary incidents, and promote a safe and supportive school climate across participating schools.
Essential Duties
● Guide and support school staff in the effective implementation of Tier 1 Classroom PBIS (CHAMPS)
● Assist in creating positive, inclusive environments that integrate social-emotional learning and structured support systems.
● Provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure schools adhere to the PBIS framework and meet implementation fidelity.
● Engage in developing and formalizing a structure for coaching within the district.
● Attend Cognitive Coaching training to be equipped with strategies for effective coaching practices.
● Engage in the MAISD provided professional development sequence in order to leverage expertise in both training and coaching CHAMPS in the district.
● Actively participate in the Community of Practice (CoP) led by MAISD, attending monthly meetings to share best practices, foster collaboration, and enhance professional growth.
● Lead district and building level professional development for staff.
● Provide regular updates to district administration on the progress and impact of classroom PBIS implementation in participating schools.
● Serve as the liaison between the district and MAISD, ensuring alignment with district goals and consistency in PBIS practices.
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree or experience in Education, Psychology, or a related field
● Experience in PBIS/MTSS implementation within a school or district setting.
● Strong knowledge of classroom management strategies and social-emotional learning frameworks.
