An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a major building services contractor delivering a large, high-profile commercial development in Cambridge.
This is a key project delivery role within a collaborative, integrated project environment, where construction and MEP teams work as one - built on trust, professionalism, and a "right first time" approach.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for the mechanical services delivery on a major commercial scheme, managing the project from pre-construction through installation, testing, and commissioning. The project is technically complex and high value, offering excellent exposure and long-term career progression.
You\'ll be supported by an experienced commercial, engineering, and site team within a business that genuinely believes in teamwork rather than confrontation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the mechanical services delivery across the project
* Manage mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers
* Oversee installation of HVAC, ventilation, pipework, plantrooms, and associated systems
* Manage programme, quality, safety, and technical compliance
* Coordinate with electrical, BMS, and construction teams to ensure seamless delivery
* Attend client, consultant, and design team meetings
* Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
