* Location: Swansea – Hybrid

About the role
As our Senior Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial processing and reporting across the organisation. Reporting to the Accountant, you will:
* Overseeing the entry of financial transactions
* Leading and supporting a team of three Finance Assistants
* Contributing to monthly management accounts and preparing financial reports
* Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring prompt transaction processing
* Providing monthly payroll cover
* Preparing VAT and statutory returns
* Delivering Excel‑based analysis and financial modelling
* Improving processes and enhancing service delivery
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation
This role is ideal for a motivated Senior Finance Officer who enjoys taking ownership and delivering high‑quality financial work.
About You
You’ll be a people‑centred, organised and proactive individual with:
* Experience in financial transaction processing and reporting
* Strong leadership and team‑management skills
* Excellent Excel skills and confidence with financial modelling
* Payroll experience including HMRC submissions
* AAT Level 4 or part‑qualified accountant status
* A commitment to equality, inclusion and continuous improvement
We welcome previous experience working as:
Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant, Payroll Officer, Accounts Supervisor, Management Accounts Assistant, Team Leader in Finance, or any other role with relevant transferable skills.
