Account Executive at Freuds Group

The Role

At Freud Communications, our client portfolio spans a diverse range of industries—from global brands like Danone, Nike, and EY, to impactful initiatives such as You Can Adopt (NHS).

As an Account Executive, you’ll work across a broad and varied portfolio, gaining exposure to multiple sectors and disciplines. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in high-profile campaigns, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and develop a strong understanding of the dynamic work we do and which area of comms you love the most.

This role is ideal for someone stepping into their second position in communications, with at least one year of experience in a similar setting—whether in an agency or an in-house press office team. We’re looking for someone with sharp writing skills, a keen editorial eye, and a proven track record of pitching stories across both traditional and digital media.

Essential Experience & Skills:

* Prior experience in consumer or corporate PR, gained in agency or in-house
* Strong writing ability across formats: press releases, reports, statements, and online copy
* Confident handling of media enquiries and proactive sell-ins
* Excellent time management and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to juggle multiple accounts and workstreams with varying demands
* Solid grasp of the daily news agenda and broader industry context
* Enthusiastic, proactive, hardworking, and eager to learn

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver clear, concise updates and ideas to junior clients via meetings, calls, and emails
* Produce high-quality written materials tailored to media and client needs, including press releases, reports, and digital content
* Operate within a busy press office, responding swiftly and effectively to a wide range of enquiries
* Research and identify relevant talent for brand campaigns; support briefing document creation and attend briefings
* Manage complex media enquiries end-to-end, including drafting and publishing approved client statements
* Provide reactive commentary in response to media requests, with guidance from senior team members
* Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, managing interactions both reactively and proactively
* Consistently pitch compelling stories to national and trade media outlets
* Use digital tools to identify and engage online influencers
* Stay informed on the evolving influencer landscape and its relevance to your clients
* Contribute to new business proposals and pitch development
* Embrace our cornerstones of Love & Work—bringing passion to everything we do and the resilience to see it through. You’ll also be part of a team that values belonging: we collaborate with purpose, connect authentically, embrace diverse perspectives, and support one another.

Love & Work are our cornerstones. We believe they should be entwined with one another. To achieve this blend, we not only choose to work with clients who want to do things differently, but we build teams that are passionate about working on initiatives that they truly believe in.

Our employees are given the opportunity to develop industry firsts whether that be in the form of a documentary, an activation or the launch of a new concept or partnership.

Our alumni have gone on to run their own top agencies and to lead the communications and marketing for well-known global brands. Securing a role with us is a smart and strategic career move.

We look for problem solvers, for creative minds and for individuals who want to change society, influence culture, challenge conformity and push boundaries. We know that without our employees, we wouldn’t be able to achieve what we do.

As our awards and certifications confirm, we are committed to offering an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds are rewarded on merit, have the opportunity to experience integrated communications in its truest form and work on opportunities that due to our connectivity are unique to Freuds. Our culture ensures a sense of belonging for all and we thrive off our ability to support and utilise a diverse range of thoughts and perspectives.
