Ecolab are looking for a HR Advisor to proactively partner and collaborates with the HR Business Partners & Line Managers to provide comprehensive, pragmatic and commercially focussed operational HR support & solutions in relation to people issues that will meet business objectives & create an environment of positive people management, to ensure we attract, develop & retain talented people who are fully engaged and aligned to Ecolab Values.
Accountabilities and main responsibilities
* Working as part of a shared HR Advisor team, to support line managers with the delivery of the people agenda, driving consistency of application of company procedures and mitigating risk to the organisation.
* Provide commercially focused advice & support to Managers on all Employee Relations issues in line with Company procedures, including disciplinary, grievance & absence management issues.
* Raise awareness of current & new employment legislation as well as other trends, initiatives, and corporate initiatives.
* Identify trends & proactively address issues of voluntary attrition, sickness & identify cost savings within the business.
* Work with managers to support recruitment & effective onboarding of talent, including active participation in interviews/assessment days, onboarding and probation reviews are taking place.
* Promote and track completion of the annual personal performance & development framework, to ensure all associates have objectives, development goals and regular discussions with line managers around how they are doing & where they are going.
* Actively coach & train line managers on all aspects of people management, empower managers to lead their teams through up-skilling them on basic people-management processes.
* Proactively seek opportunities to improve, redesign & drive efficiencies which contribute towards the delivery of the people agenda, through digital interventions, working smarter, faster & better.
* Lead and contribute towards ad-hoc projects such as restructures, change management, HR Projects, introduction of new legislation.
* As & when required, involvement in small-scale TUPE transfers & acquisitions, including conducting due diligence, assessment of risk, making recommendations, consultation with employees & their representatives, and working to develop the integration & engagement plans post transfer.
* Collaborate with centres of excellence, specialist teams and internal or external providers to ensure delivery of Divisional/Function or Business people priorities.
* Support employee engagement, sustainability and performance management activities using globally agreed frameworks, tools and processes.
* Ambassador for Ecolab purpose, values and behaviours.
* Ensure compliance with agreed company and function standards.
* Remain abreast of market trends, functional best practices, and relevant competitor approaches; interpreting these to determine adjustments to ensure consistent delivery and deployment of best practice outcomes.
Qualifications and skills
* Strong HR generalist experience, preferably within a commercial, fast paced multi-site environment.
* Have experience with working in conjunction with central functions & delivery partners.
* Demonstrated ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders & partnering management teams.
* Up to date knowledge of relevant Employment Law for UK and Ireland.
* Is a good influencer, and has proven ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to business problems.
* Ability to work flexibly over a wide geographical area and experience of working in a multi-site/mobile capacity.
* Experience working in complex matrix structures.
* Ability to work autonomously and make own decisions within a given framework.
* Resilience and ability to cope with ambiguity and changing (sometimes competing) demands
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
* Flexible, adaptable and able to travel on a regular basis.
Desirable:
* CIPD qualified and/or equivalent experience
* Experience of supporting businesses based in UK & Ireland
* Experience of working in complex matrix structures and organisations where delivery of the people proposition is through the influencing of internal suppliers to enable a positive change within the business.
