We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join thebigword following internal promotion! In this hybrid role, working 3 days from our office in Leeds, you’ll drive HR initiatives, foster a positive culture, and support leaders and employees.
Working with the Interpreting Division, you’ll collaborate with the Global Head of People & Talent and the People Team to implement and monitor initiatives locally and globally. As a generalist, you’ll manage People Systems, Learning & Development, Recruitment, Performance Management, and other HR tasks, aligning with the divisions and organisation’s goals, whilst supporting our global partners and colleagues to ensure compliance with local laws.
Your Role in Action
1. Collaboratively develop the People Strategy, and deliver across the organisation, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
2. Advise leaders and colleagues on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
3. Lead talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
4. Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
5. Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
6. Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives for a more equitable workplace.
7. Support organisational change efforts, including workforce planning.
8. Provide coaching and development support to managers and employees.
9. Partner with the People Team to create and deliver training and development programs.
10. Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to maintain competitive talent acquisition and retention.
The Perfect Match: Your Skills & Talents
We’re looking for a CIPD qualified individual, or someone who has worked within a similar role, with experience in a multi-site, fast-paced environment. Whilst this role works with colleagues across the globe, you do not need to have global experience as support will be provided by the People Team and our partners.
You’ll have demonstrated your ability to navigate complex HR challenges, transformation projects, and be able to easily build strong relationships with diverse teams, contributing strategically to organisational growth. You’ll have experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, learning & development, and change management with a deep understanding of current employment laws and regulations. Successful candidates will bring a wealth of HR knowledge and a commitment to driving positive change across the organisation.
