Head of Finance - Sevenoaks (4 days a week on-site) - Salary circa £100,000 to £120,000
We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site business to appoint an experienced Head of Finance into a pivotal leadership role. This opportunity is suited to a commercially astute finance leader who thrives on influencing at executive level, driving performance, and shaping financial strategy within a complex, fast-paced environment.
We are particularly interested in individuals who have operated within a PLC environment and can bring a strong understanding of governance, controls, and reporting standards associated with listed businesses.
This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to the senior leadership team, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business performance while building and leading a best-in-class finance function.

* Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior stakeholders
* Lead the financial planning cycle, owning budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes to ensure robust and stretching targets
* Provide clear, forward-looking insight on business performance, identifying risks and opportunities and driving accountability across the organisation
* Translate financial data into meaningful, actionable insight to support strategic decision-making and operational performance
* Partner closely with operational, commercial, and delivery teams to optimise performance and maximise value creation
* Take ownership of complex financial areas including project performance and joint ventures
* Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
* Act as a visible and credible finance leader across the wider business
* Drive ongoing enhancement of financial reporting, systems, and processes to improve insight, efficiency, and control
* Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making across the organisation
A little bit about you....
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified leadership experience
* Proven track record operating at Head of Finance (or senior level) within a multi-site, operational or project-based environment
* Prior experience working within a PLC or listed business, with a strong understanding of reporting, controls, and governance requirements
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence, challenge, and drive performance at executive level
* Demonstrated experience leading FP&A and commercial finance functions in complex organisations
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with a focus on insight generation rather than pure reporting
* Exceptional communication skills, with the presence and credibility to operate at Board level
* Exposure to ERP systems within complex, multi-entity environments
