Mechanical Technician (O&M) – Energy Plant
Location: Slough
Salary: c.£46,000 + £2,500 Call-Out Allowance

We’re supporting a leading international energy & infrastructure operator in the search for a Mechanical Technician to join their Operations & Maintenance team at a modern Energy facility in Slough.
This is a hands-on role working within a highly technical plant environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site.
The Role
* Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding across plant systems
* Work on equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, steam systems, valves, rotating equipment, and hydraulics
* Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maintain plant performance
* Support planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with production targets
* Contribute to risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Provide guidance and direction to junior team members where required
* Participate in HSE inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship (HNC/HND desirable)
* Experience in a heavy process / industrial environment (e.g. power, waste, manufacturing, oil & gas)
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and plant equipment
* Experience with fault finding and maintenance planning
* IOSH Managing Safely (or similar) preferred
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
