Project Manager
Location: Office and site-based role, requiring frequent travel between project sites in London and the surrounding areas.

Purpose of the role
You will manage and deliver glazing projects from planning through installation and handover. This role requires strong project management skills, technical glazing knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate glazing work from pre-construction surveys/orders through installation to handover.
* Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and clauses to ensure compliance with design requirements.
Client, Contractor & Supplier Coordination
* Liaise with clients, architects, main contractors, and suppliers.
* Attend site meetings, pre-start briefings, and progress reviews.
* Manage subcontractors and specialist installers.
Budget & Commercial Management
* Prepare cost estimates, purchase orders, and commercial forecasts.
* Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures.
* Manage contractual changes, variation orders, and additional costs.
Quality & Compliance
* Conduct inspections of glazing materials and workmanship.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Coordinate snagging, quality checks, and project close-out.
Reporting & Documentation
* Maintain project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, risks, and changes.
* Provide weekly/monthly reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate for auditing and handover.
Team Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and coordinate internal teams and site supervisors.
* Communicate goals, deadlines, and responsibilities clearly to foster teamwork.
Core Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Proven project management experience in construction, glazing, architectural glass, or building envelope sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of glazing systems, façade components, and partitioning systems (e.g., Optima).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Commercial awareness and budgeting capability.
* Competent in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
* Degree in Construction Management or NVQ Level 6/7 equivalent.
* Health & Safety certification (e.g., SMSTS).
