Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour +33% shift allowance for hours worked between 22:00 - 05:00

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant to join our excellent Hygiene Team working for one of Scotland's best loved food brands - Macsween Ltd.
The ideal candidate will effectively carry out hygiene operations, internal and external. You will be responsible for ensuring that storage areas and equipment where required are stripped, cleaned and reassembled in accordance with recognised procedures, practices, always maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, including Company Procedures and Health & Safety to continually produce safe food. This position requires a commitment to quality and safety, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
Carry out scheduled daily cleaning tasks.
Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards which are measured through testing of samples.
Assist the Hygiene Manager and Technical Department for site visits and audits.
Ensuring that cleaning and personal protective equipment is always functioning correctly by doing regular checks.
Responsible for site deep cleaning to the required levels, with use of cleaning instructions and schedules.
Ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed.
Conduct all duties in compliance with the appropriate regulatory requirements.
Willing to take on responsibility and new challenges.
Able to work effectively to timescales.
Perform any other reasonable duties requested from time to time.
Experience
* Previous experience in food production is desirable, particularly within a HACCP-compliant facility.
* Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices and regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate data recording and calculations.
* Candidates should be proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn new skills in a dynamic work environment.
