Role Purpose
This role involves leading the installation of UPVC & aluminium window, door, and secondary window products in the Sustainable sector. You will oversee each installation, ensuring high standards and first-time right completion. The role requires excellent technical skills, customer service, and surveying abilities. You will be provided with a company vehicle, fuel card, equipment, and uniforms, but are expected to supply your own tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and execute domestic installations from start to finish.
2. Maintain high standards of workmanship and support the company's brand image.
3. Resolve installation issues effectively.
4. Manage installation team members, including recruitment when necessary.
5. Accurately record survey information to order products.
6. Quantify materials required for installations.
7. Collaborate with office and field staff as part of a wider team.
8. Support wider business activities related to glazing, windows, and doors.
9. Address and resolve workmanship and product issues on installations.
10. Demonstrate excellent customer skills for complaints and payments.
11. Maintain administrative and compliance duties within deadlines.
12. Ensure FCA & PRA compliance.
13. Adhere to Service Level Agreements and team targets.
14. Follow company initiatives like Right First Time and Continuous Improvement.
15. Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
Experience and Personal Attributes
1. At least 2 years of experience as a Lead Installer in domestic home improvements.
2. Experience with installation and removal of various window and door products, including structural bay windows.
3. Surveying experience for windows and doors.
4. Up-to-date knowledge of UPVC & Aluminium market offerings.
5. Skills in wet trade finishes (plastering, rendering, pebble dashing).
6. Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and telephone.
7. Good negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
9. Team player, self-driven, and proactive in planning.
10. Reliable, polite, tolerant, and determined.
11. Full UK/EU driving license.
12. NVQ Level 2 or higher in fenestration installation or valid MTC card.
13. Experience with large national installation companies is preferred.
14. Conservatory installation/surveying experience is a plus.
15. Ability to perform small building works and UPVC repairs.
16. NVQ Level 3 in fenestration surveying is desirable.
