Job Summary
Situated within the Wolverhampton based Older Adult Enhanced Community Mental Health Team the role links closely with the Older Adult psychology team across other older adult services. The post-holder will be a valued colleague in a community based team, committed to a multi‑disciplinary approach with older people who manifest with highly complex mental health, clinical and social needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to older adults with complex mental health needs.
* Provide clinical supervision to trainees and assistant psychologists.
* Contribute to service redesign, audit and development initiatives.
* Teach in the in‑house CBT training course and support the development of the Older Adult Therapeutic Service (OATS).
* Work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams including dementia pathway management.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered clinical or counselling psychologist.
* Qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
* Evidence of CPD and MDT working with older agencies.
Desirable
* Experience working with older people.
* Experience of community working.
* BPS member.
Benefits and Working Conditions
Band 8a, permanent full‑time, based at Brookland Health Centre, Wolverhampton. Salary dependent on experience.
