Options for Care are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to work at Dartmouth House, one of our mental health inpatient services in Birmingham. We have two further hospitals and a recovery home:
Montague Court: 18-bed male long term complex care mental health inpatient unit, Edgbaston
Dartmouth House: 16-bed male long term complex care mental health inpatient unit, Handsworth Wood
Stanford Court: 19-bed male mental health high dependency inpatient unit based in Highgate.
Orchard House: 8-bed residential step-down recovery service, Erdington
We are looking for a dynamic OT with a passion for working with people who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. The MOHOST is established as the core occupational therapy assessment tool, providing evidence of change and focus on occupation. Additional assessments are completed as led by service-user need.
The successful candidate will be based at Dartmouth House and will be supported by the Head of Therapies.
Main duties & responsibilities
* To plan and deliver a range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions promoting recovery and well-being for service-users with severe and enduring mental health needs.
* To co-ordinate and lead on provision of the therapeutic programme, including running both group and individual sessions.
* To work as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of the Head of Therapies, ensuring the occupational needs of the service-users are considered and addressed.
* To assist in running the Occupational Therapy team, providing management supervision to OTAs.

Pay starting from £36,500 per annum, dependent on experience
