Sorcha Eastwood MP is seeking a compassionate and organised Caseworker to join her team in Lisburn!
This is a frontline role at the heart of the community – helping people with housing, health, welfare, immigration, and education, and ensuring their voices are heard.
You’ll be based full-time in our Castle Street office, working within a friendly and dedicated team of caseworkers. The role offers variety every day, allowing you to collaborate closely with colleagues and make a real difference in people’s lives.

Key responsibilities
• Manage casework from first contact to resolution, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and casework database.
• Draft clear, professional correspondence on behalf of the MP.
• Liaise with government, local authorities, housing providers, and other agencies to resolve issues.
• Identify local trends and brief the MP and team.
• Support constituency surgeries.
• Assist with general office and admin duties as instructed by the Admin Manager.
Essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in advocacy.
• Experience in casework, advice, or a public-facing role.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Empathy, discretion, and resilience in handling sensitive issues.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use initiative.
• Commitment to public service and supporting people from all backgrounds.
• Based in Lisburn office, Monday–Friday, 9-5.
Desirable
• Experience in advocacy, social work, housing, or welfare rights.
• Knowledge of local issues in Lagan Valley.
• Understanding of role of an MP.
• Familiarity with GDPR and casework systems (e.g. Caseworker.MP).
