Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Universal contracting process including all forms of agreements, reviews, analyses, contract negotiations and related documents for all facility construction, A&E design, consultant, and similar services using the NEC and JCT library of contracts, other bespoke forms of agreement and templates on behalf of legal that are utilised across the Universal Creative UK Project, including working in conjunction with project teams and other stakeholders. Implements and manages the development, implementation, and management of facility design and construction scopes of work, including form documents, with the supervision of and input from Director and Sr. Manager of Contracts, as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (% of time)
1. Directly responsible for the development and approval of modifications and changes to NEC and JCT forms of agreement, procedure documents, other bespoke forms of agreement and templates for facility design and construction utilised by Project Management Office (“PMO”) and other stakeholders across the Universal Creative UK Project, with input and supervision from Director, Contracts and Sr. Manager of Contracts as needed, including policies, standards, specifications, templates, matrixes, guidelines, scopes, and other written requirements related to project development and execution - 30%
2. Directly responsible for the creation, development, and maintenance of NEC/JCT boilerplates, procedure documents, templates and other forms of agreement for facility design and construction scopes of work and related documents, with input and supervision from Sr. Manager, Contracts as needed, for both initial agreements and scope changes, including scopes of work for modification documents, incentives, acceleration, retainage releases, waiver of claims, schedule impacts, back charges, and other required scopes - 30%
3. Manages the contract administration for initial agreements, directives, and change orders for facility design and construction scopes of work, including review, revision, negotiation, and approval scopes of work, change orders across the Universal Creative UK Project, with input and supervision from Director and Sr. Manager of Contracts, and input and support from Directors and stakeholders, as needed - 20%
4. Develops, manages, and conducts trainings on scopes of work best practices, construction contracts topics for non-construction RI’s, risk assessment, legal communications, bonds, and claims mitigation, with input and supervision from Director, Legal & Business Affairs and Sr. Manager, Contracts, as needed - 15%
5. Assists Sr. Director, Legal & Business Affairs, with active and pending litigation, including coordination with other legal groups, outside counsel, finance, and project leadership - 5%
6. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
10. Bachelor’s degree is required.
EXPERIENCE
11. Extensive prior experience in drafting, analysing, negotiating, and issuing NEC/JCT contracts and other bespoke forms of agreements required. Construction-related project and contract experience is strongly preferred / highly desired, including experience in supervising others; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
