Client Manager Salary: £44,000 – £55,000 Working Arrangements: Full Time | Hybrid Working Location: Stevenage Role Description I’m working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Stevenage that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior OR Assistant Manager to support its leadership team. This is a senior-level role with responsibility across accounts, VAT and taxation, alongside managing a client portfolio and playing a key part in mentoring and developing junior staff. You’ll act as a main point of contact for clients, ensuring high standards of service and compliance are consistently delivered What’s in it for you? Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH) Flexi Hours 25 days leave Bank Holidays Opportunity to manage your own diverse client portfolio Involvement in tax planning and advisory work Leadership and mentoring responsibility Exposure to workflow planning and practice management Supportive and professional team environment Opportunity to contribute to internal process improvements Ongoing technical and professional development What you’ll do Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of accounts, VAT returns and tax filings Prepare and review year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns Liaise on VAT matters, including reviewing returns and advising on compliance and schemes Review work produced by junior staff, providing feedback, training and ongoing mentorship Assist with workflow planning, deadline management and client onboarding What you’ll need Extensive experience within a UK accountancy practice Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT, personal and corporate tax Experience supervising, mentoring or training junior staff ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience considered) Excellent organisational and communication skills Ready to apply?
