What is the job role?
Come and join us at an exciting time and be part of the Professional Support Service’s journey. We are a team that works with colleagues at all levels across Children’s Services to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City.
When you join our team, you’ll be working alongside people who are passionate about what they do and determined to make a difference.
This is a part time position within the Quality Assurance Team and you will work as part of a team supporting Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children, Adult Safeguarding.
Your duties will include supporting Child Protection Chairs, Independent Reviewing Officers, Conference Support Officers and team managers for that service area on a day to day basis with a variety of tasks. We are friendly and supportive teams and work on a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment which can be very rewarding, but also means you must be able to prioritise your own workload, multitask a number of conflicting deadlines and cover/support other colleagues.
Duties will include support with our inhouse system LCS, dealing with queries both over the telephone and in person, co-ordinating child protection conferences, producing statistical information for team managers and other tasks as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Support Child Protection Chairs, Independent Reviewing Officers, Conference Support Officers and team managers on a day-to-day basis.
* Co‑coordinate child protection conferences.
* Produce statistical information for team managers.
* Support with the in‑house system LCS and handle queries over the telephone and in person.
* Prioritise workload and multitask conflicting deadlines.
* Cover and support other colleagues as required.
Qualifications
* Has a flexible approach.
* Able to use own initiative.
* Is a self-starter.
* Has strong organisational skills and the initiative to prioritise their own workload.
* Thrives in a busy and diverse environment.
* Has great attention to detail along with excellent communication skills.
* Has Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship offered for this role).
* Exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; appointment conditional upon satisfactory DBS check.
