Job Overview: The Strategic Buyer will be instrumental in leading complex procurement activities, identifying and engaging with high-performing suppliers, and driving long-term value across the supply chain. This role requires deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management within a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with broader business goals, while ensuring compliance and promoting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute robust procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, delivery performance, and risk mitigation. Conduct advanced market research and supplier benchmarking to uncover sourcing opportunities and monitor global industry trends. Manage strategic supplier relationships, building supplier intelligence and ensuring long-term reliability and innovation. Lead end-to-end tender processes, including RFP preparation, bid analysis, and supplier selection. Negotiate complex contracts and commercial agreements to secure favourable terms and sustainable value. Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with technical and operational requirements. Implement supplier performance metrics and regularly review performance against KPIs. Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant regulatory standards. Champion cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement within procurement operations. Requirements: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. Manufacturing procurement experience and a proven track record in developing international supply chains. Expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance evaluation. Strong commercial acumen with advanced negotiation and contract management skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications and translate them into procurement deliverables. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
