Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Falmouth Hub, making a difference to people’s lives in Falmouth and the surrounding area. We are seeking someone who is warm and caring to help provide a clean, stimulating and welcoming environment, running activities responsive to individuals’ needs. We welcome applications from those who enjoy meeting new people, are confident and outgoing and like helping others. There will also be an opportunity to work as Senior Assistant relief providing cover during holidays and sickness. This will require an NVQ Level 3 in Adult care, which we can provide training for.

Responsibilities

* Assist the Hub Manager with day-to-day running requirements of the hub
* Provide support to the people attending the hub, in accordance with their wishes and care plan
* Facilitate and participate in activities designed to promote physical and mental well-being
* Enhance social and communication skills
* Maintain or increase independence
* Encourage self-help and self-advocacy
* Maintain or increase mobility
* Help prevent the deterioration of mental or physical abilities
* Include wide social interaction


Qualifications

* NVQ Level 3 in Adult care (training available)
* Enhanced DBS check (including Adult Barred list)


Details

* Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week, over four days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
* Salary: £14,741.15 per annum (£24,241 FTE)
* Place of Work: Falmouth Hub, TR11 3QP
* Note: The organisation reserves the right to require you to work at other organisational sites as reasonably required
* Holiday: 30 days (including bank holidays) pro rata plus 3 extra days for your first year
* Your holiday entitlement increases by 1 day pro rata each year up to a maximum of +8 days pro rata
