Overview
Role: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager - Chemicals, Own Label Products, Distribution
Location: South Derbyshire (hybrid role – in the office a couple of days per week, with visits to customers as required)
Salary: Up to £60,000

Key Responsibilities
* Hybrid role split between home office and manufacturing site in South Derbyshire
* Support and mentorship of two existing experienced sales professionals
* Develop sales through existing accounts and following client leads
* Leverage relationships to open doors into sister & competitor companies and divergent sectors
* Follow new leads from marketing, referrals and the new website
Person Specification
* Proven track record of sales, account management and business development in chemical products (e.g., cleaning, hygiene, janitorial, industrial, automotive)
* Experience selling through distribution and to end users
* Skilled at developing existing relationships with key accounts
* Credible in selling a technical product from a features/benefits/applications perspective
* Independent, driven sales professional who works to margins (not just turnover) with capacity for strategic business development
* Able to sell at various levels up to C-suite, discussing product specifications
* Exposure to own/private label is advantageous

Well established (almost 40 years) SME with a great reputation, specialising in own label chemical products. Turnover has doubled recently; new manufacturing site established. We’re growing!
